Job Description
The Vice Principal provides administrative and curriculum support to the Principal to ensure that the school provides a safe, productive learning environment of the highest quality. In particular, the Assistant Principal participates in implementing policies, programs, and curriculum activities in a manner that promotes individualized educational development of each student; engages actively in guiding the professional development of teaching staff; and facilitates effective partnering and communication with parents/family members, and other educational service providers. The Assistant Principal also takes on the operations of the school in the Principal’s absence when necessary.
Roles and Responsibilities
Role of the vice principal is to assist principal in following area.
To develop and lead a responsive and innovative curriculum within the resource base available.
To be responsible for the leadership and management of the College’s curriculum delivery and support functions
To work effectively within the Senior Leadership Team
To co-ordinate the enrollment of students to suitable program of study, preparing schedules of activity for the enrollment and induction process.
To monitor course changes, developing structures to analyze choice trends and reasons for change
Help to manage management of physical and financial resources
Planning for curriculum staffing resource on an monthly and annual basis
To participate in business development and strategic planning cycles as required.
Establish a climate in which students can develop self-discipline.
Qualifications
A focus on serving students and staff in the pursuit of outstanding student achievement
Three (3) years of exceptional teaching experience with impressive student achievement
Must have passed master degree in Education with first division. MBA is preferable. From an accredited institution
Demonstrated ability to provide valued organizational leadership and management
Knowledge and understanding of the College and Career Readiness, curriculum development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management, and learning assessments
Professional oral and written communication skills in Nepali and English IT skill
