Job Description
Urban Planner: 4-5 positions
The incumbent will serve as a technical expert for municipality building by laws. S/he will work closely with the SB’s Governance Manager and report to the Senior Field Director, core program districts.
Specific duties and responsibilities:

Localize building by laws

Undertake technical and feasibility studies including sites verification

Provide technical assistance to prepare urban planning and building construction standards

Provide technical assistance to prepare Public places and road standard
-
Provide technical assistance to develop norms for settlement planning
-
Perform duties as mentioned in the ToR as approved by MoFALD
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Urban Planning or Architect /Civil engineer

Minimum of seven years of experience working in the relevant field

A sound understanding of building by laws/ building code
-
Excellent computer literacy in Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required

English and Nepali fluency required
