Nepal GoodWeave Foundation (NGF) is an active member of GoodWeave International having country affiliates in Nepal, India, USA, UK, Germany and Afghanistan. GoodWeave is a global nonâ€profit initiative working for appropriate preventive, rehabilitation & education programs and vocational training opportunities for disadvantaged children and families. NGF invites applications for the following positions:
TRAINING COUNSELOR: 1 (WEAVING ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY PROJECT) (Based in Kathmandu with frequent field visits out of valley)
Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension
Age: 25â€40 years
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide counseling to trainees and their families, contractors, employers.
• Monitor the status of trainee’s family and financial condition.
• Supervise the dayâ€toâ€day activities of GoodWeave project activities and reporting to the Project Coordinator.
• Develop case stories and success stories of trainees.
• Monitor the activities of trainees during trainings and prepare the progress and evaluation reports.
• Follow up with the trainees with their income status and reporting.
• Regular reporting to supervisor on project activities.
• Support in finalization of training venue with close coordination with Program Assistant
• Work as a key role in the recruitment of trainees and maintain the filing system of trainee’s personal information.
• Assist the supervisor in preparation of activity plans, budgets and reports.
• Carry out other jobs instructed by senior of officials of NGF.
Qualification and Experience:
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Psychology or similar field with at least 3 years of counseling experience.
• Basic knowledge of national and International labour Laws & standards.
• Good command in English and Nepali languages and good computer skills.
• Strong report writing skills.
