Social Studies : (Post-1 : Full time: Secondary level) Qualification:Master’s degree in relevant subject. D. Physics Lab Technician: (Post-1: Full time: Plus-2) Qualification:B.Sc. in the relevant subject with at least two years’ Lab experience. Role and Responsibilities: 1. Consulting with the appropriate laboratory instructors and other technologists 2. To prepare Health and Safety guidelines needed within Physics laboratories. 3. Ensure, together with teaching staff, that laboratories are locked when teachers are not present and that students do not have unsupervised access to laboratories, prep rooms or science equipment. 4. Setting up equipment for students and instructors. 5. Be familiar with fire and emergency procedures including the roles required of a technician within this. 6. To provide equipment and materials to support Physics practical teaching, including assembling apparatus and making up solutions (which may include caustic chemicals). 7. To ensure adequate stocks of glassware, goggles, Bunsen burners etc in laboratories 8. Performing technical duties related to the Physics laboratory activities, including giving technical assistance. 9. Assist with preparation and/or lab cleanup for physics lecture demonstrations as appropriate E. Receptionist: (Post – 1: Full time) Qualification:Bachelor’s degree with experience in similar capacity. Role and Responsibilities: 1. Assisting Administrator and co-ordinators in the day to day administration that includes providing logistic support. 2. Greeting visitors and directing them to the correct person or department. 3. Deal with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person, on the telephone or via e-mail. 4. Co-ordinating and maintaining information resources and materials for use in reception duties. 5. Answering and Forwarding phone calls to the concerned authorities. 6. Liaising with other administrative staff, academic colleagues, parents and students. 7. Provide first level of professional HR Support with a focus of supporting the work of a team whenever needed. 8. Facilitating a variety of educations and social activities, events etc. 9. Co-ordinating examination and assessment processes. 10. Carry out all the instructions given by the management and adhere GIHE Policies and procedures. 11. Suggest and explore new ideas, thinking out of the box in order to bring about positive changes and make a difference. GEMS Institute of Higher Education, the higher section of Graded English Medium School (GEMS), was established in 2008 with the prime objective of providing higher level education from Pre-university to Masters level degree courses. Currently, we offer GCE A Level, a prestigious degree programme of the Cambridge University, the UK and Plus 2 in Science under the affiliation with Higher Secondary Education Board (HSEB), Nepal. We also offer Bachelor of Science (BS) programme under the affiliation with Angeles University Foundation (AUF), the Philippines. The BS degree is a pre-requisite course for Doctor of Medicine (MD) in the Philippines. Our students join Angeles University for MD upon completion of BS with us.
