Welcome to the KUHS website. We hope you will find out something about KUHS and the KUHS community from the website. We offer a curriculum taught in English, with some international influences up to Class 10, when the students sit for the Nepal School Leaving Certificate. In the final two years, we offer an international curriculum based on science A levels from the University of Cambridge International Examinations. The students study four A levels: Physics, Chemistry, a choice of Biology or Computing, and Mathematics. All students also study the General Paper.
There is an active programme of activities that includes sports, drama, dance, bird watching, eco club, chess, quiz, and community service. All classes in the secondary school go trekking in the Himalayas. Recent treks have been to Ghorepani on the Annapurna Circuit, the Annapurna Base Camp, the Lang Tang valley, and Helambu.
The school is set on a hilltop outside the hill town of Dhulikhel about one and a half hours south of Kathmandu, with resplendent views of the Himalayas to the north, and the wooded slopes of the Mahabharata Range to the south. The fresh air environment is commented on by all visitors and enjoyed by the students in the school.
