Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL) currently operates Electronic Cheque Clearing (NCHL-ECC) and Interbank Payment System (NCHL-IPS) with participation of almost all the banks and financial institutions in Nepal. NCHL is expanding its team for support and system development and so invites qualified and competent Nepali national for the following full-time positions:
SYSTEM ANALYST- 2 Nos.
System Analyst is an entry level role and is expected to provide support to the end users of our members. He/ She shall perform day to day activities to operate various systems, support end users and participate in new system implementations.
Job Responsibilities:
Provides first line of Helpdesk support to the users of the member institutions.
Develops and maintains helpdesk system to keep record of all the issues/queries reported by the users.
Assists new members in setup/ configuration and provides trainings to the end users.
Administrators and monitor various infrastructure, operational systems and network connectivity.
Perform beginning of day, end of day, monitoring activities and backups of various systems.
Designs and develops internal software applications. Analyze and test various applications.
Participates in new implementation projects.
Job Specification:
At least University degree in Engineering/Science, IT/IS, computer application or related field.
At least 1 year of experience in technology design, development, implementation, and/or operations. Experience in supporting users of critical systems will be an advantage.
Outstanding fresh graduate with good knowledge of major computer languages, databases, OS, Network technologies can also apply.
Good knowledge of C, C++, JAVA, .Net, J2EE, JSP, JavaScript, PHP, Web Services, ASP, XML, SQL Server, Oracle, Unix, Windows, etc.
Understanding of document management system, workflow management system, data warehouse, digital certificate highly preferred.
Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
Experienced at working independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

NCHL has initially implemented and operated NCHL-ECC System in Nepal offering banks and financial institutions with an electronic medium of cheque clearing and will later establish a national payments gateway to facilitate electronic payments & financial transactions across banks and financial institutions within the country. Electronic Cheque Clearing (NCHL-ECC) System provides means to electronically transfer cheque images through a secure medium thus completely replacing the traditional physical routine of moving paper-cheques among the banks and clearing house, which has resulted in significant reduction of tedious and time consuming manual process of cheque clearing, both for the banks and for the customers.
