Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is providing Technical Assistance (TA) to the Government of Nepal (GoN) through the Department of Local Infrastructure Development and Agricultural Roads (DoLIDAR) under Ministry of Federal Affairs and Local Development (MoFALD) for the implementation of the Local Roads Bridge Programme (LRBP) - Phase II in 75 districts of Nepal.
This phase will introduce regional teams providing support in preparing the engineering designs of the bridges and field investigations; assist the local governments with punctual support, in the supervision of construction works at bridge sites. Eventually, such regional teams could be adapted to the locations of future provinces.

Required Qualification and Experience:
The Support Engineers should have a qualification of Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institute and must be registered with the Nepal Engineering Council in accordance with the Nepal Engineering Council Act, 2055. The Support Engineers should have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience specifically in bridge related works. The Support Engineers should have excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Nepali, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
Duration of Employment:
The contract for the above positions is for the period up to 28 February 2017 with possibility of extension.
