Job Description

System Development Service Centre (SDSC) is a non-governmental organization working for improving the quality of education, status of health, and helping people to generate income in Gorkha District since 1999.

With the technical and financial support of Good Neighbors International (GNI) Nepal, SDSC is going to reconstruct permanent school buildings and renovate classrooms at eight different schools of Gorkha. In the immediate aftermath of the Gorkha Earthquake, GNI Nepal was involved in the emergency response in Gorkha District. As a continuation of its operations in the district, GNI Nepal is supporting to reconstruct permanent school buildings and renovate classrooms.

SDSC invites application for following position for Gorkha School Reconstruction Project

Position: Sub- Engineer (school building reconstruction) - 8 Nos. Location: Different VDCs of Gorkha

Job Description

• Supervise, participate & facilitate in appropriate identification of beneficiaries, social & technical surveys, assessments & situation.
• Implementation of RCC frame structures school building construction an ensure the quality of the work.
• Co ordination and communication with the concern sectors and line agencies.
• Regular and periodic documentation and reporting the work progress.

Job Specification

• Should have completed diploma in engineering in civil/architecture course from recognized institution with at least 2 years experience in building construction, preference will be given to experience in working in school building construction.
• Excellent computer skills basically AUTOCAD and MS window package (word, excel, power point, email-internet) etc.
• Willing to stay on the remote part of various earthquake affected districts.
