Job Description

Education:

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in one or more of the following disciplines: international development, gender, social studies, human rights and other related fields.

Experience:

  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience at the national or international level in gender equality and women’s empowerment;
  • Solid understanding and demonstrated knowledge of women’s rights and UN Women’s thematic priorities;
  • Proven experience with demonstrated results in partnerships building to advance the women’s rights agenda;
  • Experience in supervising, coaching and mentoring staff and developing capacities;
  • UN experience is considered an asset.

Language:

  • Written and oral proficiency in English and Nepali is required.
