PSI/Nepal began operations in early 2002 and has been partnering with the Government of Nepal, the private sector and local and international organizations in areas of nationally defined health priorities to create health solutions that are built to last. Its current portfolio includes family planning, maternal, neo-natal and child health, adolescent sexual and reproductive health, and hygiene and sanitation programs in support of the Government of Nepal.
PSI/Nepal is seeking qualified candidates for the following position to work on multiple projects. This position is based in Kathmandu.
1. Senior Manager, Strategic Evidence and Research
The Senior Manager, Strategic Evidence and Research is responsible for the overall strategic planning and monitoring, execution and reviewing of program performance; designing and overseeing research studies, sharing findings to inform programs; contributing actively to the overall management and governance of PSI/Nepal as member of the Senior Management Team (SMT); contributing to new business development and program innovations; and representing PSI/Nepal in various national and international platforms.

PSI’s efforts to reach children in Nepal are especially salient because children under 5 years old account for nearly a quarter of all deaths. PSI’s efforts are also greatly needed to fill governmental funding gaps – especially in rural areas. One-third of Nepalis live below the national poverty line, yet social security for health care is limited and governmental expenditures for health care are insubstantial. As a result, nearly three-fourths of the country’s healthcare needs are addressed though private sources.
