Required Experience and Competencies

ï‚· Gender and Social Inclusion

• Education and at least 6-10 years of experience in a relevant field (sociology, law, other).
• In-depth knowledge of the Nepali history and cultures, the dynamics of exclusion and discrimination, and the range of efforts adopted over the years to address related problems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of human rights and legal norms that have a bearing on how gender and social inclusion issues area addressed.

ï‚· Project/programme implementation experience

• Demonstrated capacity to support donor-funded project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and learning.

ï‚· Collaborative leadership

• Proven access to a wide network of relevant actors.
• Demonstrated capacity to interact constructively and sensitively with actors at all levels and segments of society.
• Demonstrated capacity to work dynamically as a collaborative team player and leader with an interest in working in a matrix management system.
• Willingness to provide technical support to GF team members and partners.

ï‚· Analysis and writing

• Experience with preparing briefs, white-papers; think-pieces and presentations that go with it.
• Demonstrated capacity to carry out high level analysis and writing
• Fluent in written and spoken Nepali and English. Knowledge of any major national language will be considered a distinct and important advantage.
