Purpose of the role: The Sponsorship Communications and Engagement Specialist will coordinate the processes that enable WVIN to generate products and resources (Videos, Photos, stories) that can deepen Child Sponsorship and community sponsorship experience for sponsors/supporters and partner children and communities.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required for the position: A Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications. Development studies, International Relations with at least 3-5 years of experience is essential. A Master's Degree in the relevant field will be preferred. The candidate should have understanding of poverty issues, development theories, sustainable development practices; S/He should have strong people management skills including performance management, talent development including good facilitation, mentoring and coaching skills; S/He must have effective written and oral communications in both English and Nepali language, including good presentation skills;The ideal candidate must have good interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity with strong collaboration and partnership skills to mobilize engagement and influence; Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office Packages and be able to use technology to generate communication products; designing and knowledge on infographics is preferred. Willing to work under pressure and exhibit a high level of flexibility especially when travelling and working with sponsor/donor visits; Hold a high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, multitask and able to work independently; Must be strategic, creative, and innovative with decision making and problem solving skills. This role requires to travel to field areas for about 60% of the time.
