Sourcing Head-Agri Products Senior Level

Job Description

The Sourcing Head-Agri Products will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall sourcing strategy for Agri Products. You must be familiar with the overall category of Agri Products especially fruits and vegetables including growing areas, varieties, growing practices, production volumes, pricing, and supply chains. You’ll play a pivotal role in sourcing agri products directly from farms and establishing a solid supply chain infrastructure to deliver year-round smooth delivery of Agri products.

Your role shall be, but not limited to:

• Work closely with Agribusiness head to design and implement a sustainable sourcing strategy of agriproducts.
• Develop and establish a network of collection centers
• Develop and supervise a team of collection center managers and sourcing executives
• React quickly to changing markets/conditions of vegetables and seasonal fruits to ensure that the demands are met at the right prices and quality
• Create linkages and develop strong relationship with farmers and local communities and work with them to ensure smooth supply of yearly demand of Agri Products

Job Specification

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture; Masters in Agriculture/Business studies with specialization in Agribusiness preferred
• Good exposure to major Agri products collection centers throughout the country will be an advantage.
• Prior experience of establishing collection centers will be a big advantage
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a team player
• Willingness to travel extensively
