The Social Franchise Assistant Manager is responsible for the promotion, expansion, optimization and effective operation of PSI/Nepal's social franchise network. S/he is tasked with identifying and enrolling eligible providers into the network while ensuring all network providers are trained, certified, and equipped to meet defined quality standards for service delivery. S/he is also responsible for ensuring quality of services and designing/implementing non-monetary incentive(NMI) schemes. This is a position with high field mobility with personal visits to each of the franchise member, as well as local implementation partners, on a regular basis. The Social Franchise Assistant Manager is the key focal point for the franchise at PSI/Nepal and is expected to possess full and detailed real-time knowledge about each franchise member clinic, at all times.

PSI’s efforts are also greatly needed to fill governmental funding gaps – especially in rural areas. One-third of Nepalis live below the national poverty line, yet social security for health care is limited and governmental expenditures for health care are insubstantial. As a result, nearly three-fourths of the country’s healthcare needs are addressed though private sources.
