Global Press is recruiting freelance Nepali language copy editors to add to our on-call talent pool. Global Press is expanding its online presence in Sri Lanka by publishing news articles in Sinhala, and is recruiting expert freelance copy editors to help build a more robust and accurate news outlet for our Sinhalese audience. Copy editors will be tasked with editing a news article for publication, ensuring proper Sinhala grammar, sentence structure, spelling and news writing style.
Freelancers in the Global Press on-call talent network are paid by the article and are typically given 24-48 hours turnaround time. Freelancers specify the amount of work they are looking for, and work closely with Global Press’ assignment editor, lead editors and reporters to produce ethical, accurate and locally-sourced news.
If you think you might be a good fit for Global Press, and are interested in applying to join Global Press’ on-call talent network, please email a resume, availability, a letter of interest, and any questions to ilana@globalpressjournal.com.
