Job Description
This is a mid-level role to act as point of contact on all infrastructure and technology related matters in the organization. He/ She assist the line manager in planning, implementing and maintaining the organization's ICT infrastructures and ensure IT security policies/ procedures are adhered.
Job Responsibilities:
Setups and maintains data center, ICT infrastructures including servers, hardware, networks and associated systems.
Identifies and implements necessary upgrade and security patches in networks and servers.
Oversees system backups, data archiving and ensures adequate contingencies are maintained for the critical infrastructures.
Maintains all communication systems including telephone. fax, internet, other communication systems.
Monitors Na IL's network between DC, DR and with the member BFIs.
Performs system backups, data archiving participate in disaster recovery drills.
Job Specification:
At least University degree in Engineering. Computer Application/ Science, IT or related field.
Not less than 5 years of experience in design, implementation, upgrade and/or support of ICT infrastructure and/or data centers. Prior experience in banking/financial technology implementation and support is desirable.
Expert in Windows and Unix/ Linux OS platforms, exchange servers and other infrastructure management applications.
Good working knowledge of databases including Oracle, SQL, etc.
Understandings of data management/ warehousing and PKI infrastructure highly preferred.

NCHL has initially implemented and operated NCHL-ECC System in Nepal offering banks and financial institutions with an electronic medium of cheque clearing and will later establish a national payments gateway to facilitate electronic payments & financial transactions across banks and financial institutions within the country. Electronic Cheque Clearing (NCHL-ECC) System provides means to electronically transfer cheque images through a secure medium thus completely replacing the traditional physical routine of moving paper-cheques among the banks and clearing house, which has resulted in significant reduction of tedious and time consuming manual process of cheque clearing, both for the banks and for the customers.
