Scaling up Climate Smart Agriculture in Nepal is a CCAFS (CGIAR Programme on Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security) supported project, implemented by LI-BIRD in Nepal from 2014 to 2020. From 2019 onwards, the project is working closely with the provincial governments aiming to support them in designing and implementing climate-smart agriculture programmes.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, SRO is responsible to lead the ‘Preparation of climate investment plan of Nepal Provinces’ under the project Scaling up Climate Smart Agriculture in Nepal in coordination with CCAFS. S/he needs to work in close coordination with the Team Leader of the project. The SRO’s major duties include managing budget and human resource; providing technical guidance and supervision to the team; monitoring and evaluation of the project; coordinating with policymakers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure greater synergy; and preparation of progress reports and knowledge products, and monitoring and evaluation.
Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in Agricultural Economics, Resource Economics, Natural Resource Management or related discipline with 4 years’ experience of working in similar projects.
