Job Description
Experience in coordinating & controlling the order cycle and in the maintenance of associated logistics information system
Knowledge of monitoring the quality, quantity, cost & efficiency of the movement and storage of imported goods
Ability to analyze data to monitor performance & plan improvements & demand
Incumbent should be well organized and have a strong knowledge of customs procedures
Knowledge of national & international laws & regulations governing clearing and forwarding
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office package, knowledge of ERP will be an added advantage.
Good Negotiation skills, Proactive attitude and Ability to deal with diverse vendors
Willingness to travel as required
Develop, maintain and revise the Company's purchaser procedures so as to ensure optional benefits for the Company.
Relating to procurement do the necessary correspondence with suppliers inside/outside Nepal including follow up on outstanding monies and supplies.
Before purchasing check and coordinate with goods already in stock.
Develop and maintain a price-register and a supplier-register for various types of goods.
Publish advertisements / negotiate prices with reliable suppliers for large bulk orders or regular supply-needs.
Adhere to the business ethics of the company.
He shall do the necessary liaison work in relation to processing of purchase orders with HMG and other relevant institutions.
Correspond and follow up to acquire import license, customs exemption papers etc. for goods to be imported into Nepal and/or moved within the country.
Visit HMG offices from time to time to be up-date on prevailing procedures.
Instruct suppliers of mode of transportation, entrance point into Nepal, special packing requirements etc.
Follow up on insurance claims when necessary.
Follow up on deposited etc. of goods imported.
He shall ensure timely supplies and safe transport of goods purchased.
Make and maintain a register of transportation rate for various materials.
Develop standard formats for transportation contracts in consultation with Manager of Administration.
Publish advertisements/negotiate competitive transport rates with reliable transporters for larger consignments.
Initiate, instruct, implement and control any actions regarding the Company's Quality Assurance-system relating to this area of responsibility in cooperation with the QA-coordinator.
Supply Chain:
Planning, scheduling, reviewing and ensuring timely availability of raw/pkg materials and on time delivery of finished goods to all sales depots in a cost effective manner.
Responsible for sourcing, negotiating and managing the purchase of all materials and services for production.
Ensuring both goods inward and distribution departments are well organized and adequately resourced to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business.
Communicating with all the relevant people / depts and coordinating all relevant inputs (people, plant and processes) to ensure production output and on time delivery targets are achieved.
