Job Description

Position: Senior Finance and Operations Officer
Job location: Kathmandu (30% field)
Salary: Competitive salary
Contract duration: One-year fixed term contract, renewable
Full Time, 40 hours per week

Major responsibility

The Senior Finance and Operations Officer is responsible for ensuring the robustness of financial and operational management systems, in order to guarantee the integrity of the programme and operations. He or she will lead grant management and reporting, build capacities of local partners and provide financial and administrative advice, information and oversight covering all aspects of financial accounting and reporting, management of sub-grants and partner relations, human resources and office
management/security, as well as internal communications. 

Skills, Qualification, and experience required

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, or Business studies or accounting with at least five years of experience of grants management and reporting in an INGO and/or donor environment
  • Sound knowledge of financial system management, accounting procedures and principles and administrative and operations management
  • Knowledge of Nepal Government’s laws regarding accounting and taxation
  • Highly computer literate with advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work in a dispersed, diverse and multi-cultural teamFluency in English and Nepali (written and spoken)
