Summary:
The U.S. Mission in Kathmandu is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Security Investigator. This vacancy is open to All Interested Applicants.  
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Start date: Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Duties

Working in the Regional Security Offer (RSO), the incumbent conducts security investigations and maintains liaison with local police and other security and law enforcement officials. The incumbent assists the RSO team in coordinating protection for post personnel and visiting U.S. government officials, obtaining and reporting on information concerning potential security threats to post personnel, facilities, or information.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:  Minimum of three (3) years of experience in law enforcement, military, private security, or investigation is required.  
Education Requirements:
A minimum of two (2) years University Studies is required.  

Evaluations:
These may be tested (Language, Skills and Abilities).
LANGUAGE:  Good Working Knowledge speaking/reading/writing English is required. Fluent speaking/reading/writing Nepali is required

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  Ability to conduct investigations with utmost discretion is required. Ability to draft correspondence and reports in English is required. Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook applications is required. Must have a valid local Class B driving license.
