Resilience Specialist (based in Kathmandu)
Key responsibilities:
The incumbent will guide the implementation of the DRR/Resilience component of the project through strategic guidance and technical backstopping at the project level. The role will ensure successful integration, implementation and mainstreaming of climate change adaptation issues with disaster risk reduction and potential nutrition shocks at household level at local development and sectoral planning processes. S/he will also provide technical backstopping and facilitation, working closely with the other consortiums managers and in coordination with other relevant stakeholders ensuring achievement of objectives in timely and cost effective manner.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Master Degree in Agriculture or Natural Resource Management, Climate Change, Disaster Management, Forestry or any relevant subject with 3 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of relevant experience in the field of DRR & Resilience.
