Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Processing and corresponding to reservations by mail, telephone, sales office, other hotel departments, travel agents or central reservation systems referral.
Knows the type of rooms available, their layout, selling status, rates, and benefits of all packages plans.
Managing rates and room inventories on Online Travel Agencies (OTAs).
Knows the credit policy of the hotel and how to code each reservation.
Creates and maintains reservations records (date of arrival, departure, plans etc).
Communicates reservation information to the front desk and other departments of the hotel.
Determines room rates based on the selling tactics of the hotel.
Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the front desk.
Tracks future room availability on the basis of reservations, and helps develop forecasts for room revenue and occupancy.
Required qualifications and experience:
Bachelors in Hotel Management or equivalent with minimum of 1 year working experience.
A good team player with an attitude to go for the extra mile.
Excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, English language and communication skills.
Sound operational knowledge of Reservations, Sales and Marketing and Front Office.
Knowledge of foreign language and IDS is a plus.
