It’s hard to believe that today over 650 million people still don’t have clean, safe water and over 2.3 billion live without a toilet. The resulting diseases kill one child every minute.
WaterAid is looking for a Regional Advocacy Manager (RAM) to lead our advocacy and policy influencing work in South Asia towards achieving WaterAid’s vision of a world where everyone everywhere has safe water, sanitation and hygiene.
The Regional Advocacy Manager is a member of the South Asia Regional Team in the International Programmes Department of WaterAid UK. The post will be located at the WaterAid office in any of the four South Asia countries where we work (India, Nepal, Pakistan or Bangladesh).
To be successful, you need to have a Post-graduate degree in development studies, public policy / administration or equivalent; a demonstrable commitment to poverty reduction and social justice issues and an understanding of technical, social and institutional issues relating to water, sanitation and hygiene in developing countries.
You will also have a track record in the design and delivery of highly successful advocacy strategies.
The role requires excellent presentation skills and ability to communicate clearly and persuasively to different audiences. You will be fluent in speaking and writing English.
By 2030 we want everyone everywhere to have clean water, sanitation and hygiene. We need you to help us make it happen. If you bring your expertise, passion and professionalism, we’ll give you a lot back.
