Role and Responsibility:
The incumbent is responsible for supporting the quality of family planning care at CRS Sangini outlets through onsite monitoring of services at Sangini outlets in their respective assigned areas via performance of Technical Support Visits (TSV). Priority is given to outlets in the GGMS districts, which require travel to the hills and mountains districts. During the TSV the QAO is responsible for providing assessment of the quality of family planning care at Sangini outlets, identification of quality gaps and provision of technical supportive supervision with the goal of improving the quality of family planning care at the Sangini outlets.
S/he reports to Manager – Quality Assurance based at Head Office and also closely communicates with field team.
S/he will also be responsible for coordinating with districts stakeholders including government line agencies, NGOs and other partners working in the area of family planning and reproductive health as needed.

The Nepal Contraceptive Retail Sales (CRS) Project was established in July 1976. Its status was formally acknowledged by the Ministry of Finance in 1978. Financial support was provided by USAID through Westinghouse Electric Inc, USA.
The social marketing of Dhaal, Nepal’s first male contraceptive, was inaugurated by
Princess Prekshya in May 1978. These condoms were sold through 55 outlets in Kathmandu and generated significant sales from the outset. The project introduced Nepal’s first condom vending machine in Kathmandu in 1980.
