Job Description

Skills and Experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Nursing.
  • CTS trained preferred
  • Detailed knowledge of clinical protocols

Experience:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in working with directly in client care which includes counseling, involvement in delivering family planning services outside of clinics, delivering IUD, Implant, Safe Abortion services, Infection prevention, handling stock/other administration duties, involvement in reporting i.e. petty cash vouchers / collecting client data, a good understanding of the issues of women’s reproductive services and rights, experience in coordination working with women groups/ client mobilization.Ability to identify solutions to problems, plan logically and focus on completion of tasks
  • Experience of training and developing the skills of others
  • Has develop training manual/package /training schedule
  • Ability to identify solutions to problems, plan logically and focus on completion of tasks
  • Fluent English – written and spoken
  • Ability to do own administration
  • Ability to provide peer-to-peer support and treat all clinical and non-clinical colleagues with respect
  • Ability to travel at short notice and spend long periods outside Kathmandu (up to a couple of months)
  • Belief in a whole team approach to clinical quality management where everyone plays a role and everyone is responsible for infection prevention

Skills:

  • High level of fluency in English both oral and written (essential requirement)
  • Ability to develop training package, service guidelines and training session plan.
  • Highly numerate (for performance analysis and budget development)
  • Proven ability to train and develop others
  • IT literate
  • Able to manage and motivate teams to achieve targets 
  • Proven ability to ‘sell’ ideas, concepts
  • Influencing and conflict management 
  • Effective leadership and management skills
