Job Description

 The Provincial Coordinators will report to and work under direct supervision of the National Project Coordinator. S/he will be directly responsible for supporting implementation of the project activities in respective provinces and municipalities, including management of the team that is comprised of Provincial Technical Officers, Municipal Technical Officers, Information Management Officers, Admin and Finance Officers and Community Development Workers. 

Position: Provincial Coordinator, Level : NPSA 8

Duties and Responsibilities

  1.  Effectively coordinate at Provincial and local level as well as within the project components
  2.  Effectively manage the project within the Province for timely delivery of quality outputs:
  3. Provide coordination and technical support to the project team to achieve project outputs:
  4. Monitoring, Preparation of reports and documents, Communication/ Knowledge Management and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI):

 

 

 

Job Specification

Education:

  • Master’s degree of Engineering, Disaster Management, Urban planning, Environmental Sciences and any related Social science fields

Experience:

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in implementation, monitoring and evaluation of projects related to building construction, land use planning or related field. 

  • Experience of working with or exposure to community planning process.

  • Demonstrated technical skills in safer construction and disaster risk management/preparedness.

  • Demonstrated social skill of coordinating with different stakeholders and facilitating discussions,

  • Excellent skills on preparing quality reports and other knowledge products

  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.).

  • Experience of working in the federal structure with the stakeholders, specially at the provincial level

Language Requirements:

Fluency in English and Nepali at professional level are essential.

Other:

Ability to drive motorbike in hilly terrains and possess valid driving license will be desirable
