The DCA SARO invites applications from qualified and competent Nepalese candidates for the position of Project Officer - Psychosocial for Nepal Earthquake Response Project based in Kathmandu. The project period is till May 2017 with possible extension. This position will be part of the Earthquake Response Project and will be responsible for the coordination of the community based psychosocial support activities within DCA Earthquake response on shelter, WASH and food security in DCA’s working districts. S/he would be responsible for facilitating trauma and chaos management in the post disaster scenario, and responsible to build the capacity of partners in the area of psychosocial management. S/he would lead on further developing our work in community mediation and accountability as well. In addition s/he would be responsible for coordination, networking, monitoring and reporting of related activities.
Required qualifications and competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in psychosocial with 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Should have excellent communication skills in both English and Nepali, and good coordination and networking skills.
