Job Description

1. Project Manager - Winterizaon

Key responsibilies: The Project Manager is responsible for coordinang and managing all of CARE Nepal's winterizaon intervenons in Nepal, as well as ensuring the capacity building of the local partners and local community on the be2er use of distributed items. S/he will lead a team of Winterizaon Project Officers (1 in each targeted district) and coordinate the implementaon of acvies in collaboraon with the local implemenng partners and relevant government stakeholders. The Project Manager will be responsible for compilaon of field data and producing distribuon plans and compleon reports.

Preferred Qualificaons and Experience: Masters´ degree in relevant field of study (social / development studies, or engineering, architecture, construcon sciences) with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, of which at least three (3) years with a comparable social organizaon, preferably in Emergency response. Minimum 3 years of experience implemenng and overseeing distribuon acvies and conducng trainings. Knowledge of, and experience with, key back-donor requirements is desirable.

2. Project Manager - Reconstrucon

Key responsibilies: The Project Manager for reconstrucon is responsible for coordinang and managing all of CARE Nepal's reconstrucon intervenons in Nepal, as well as ensuring the capacity building of the local partners and local community on the be2er use of distributed items. S/he will ensure strong support and assistance to district shelter teams in developing a reconstrucon plan in all the three district selected for the reconstrucon project, conduct periodical District level reviews on progress and quality achievements and provide technical guidance to district team and partner NGO staff as and when required.
