Job Description

Required Skills and Experience
Education: 

  • Completion of Master’s degree or PhD in Environmental Management, Climate Change, Climate Policy, Finance, Economics, Public Administration, Business Administration or any other relevant field.

Experience:

  • At least 8 years of relevant experience for Master’s Degree and 5 years for PhD, in project management/ quality assurance and monitoring associated with climate change adaptation and mitigation and/or climate finance;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and working experiences with the GCF policy, system and procedures;
  • In depth knowledge of organization policies and procedures relating to project management;
  • Expertise and experience in climate change and relevant sectors such as energy, forestry, agriculture, water and cross-cutting issues such as gender, private sector etc;
  • Experience in drafting ToR, programme design, monitoring & evaluation and program reporting;
  • Experience working for the Government of Nepal and UN is an asset;
  • Act as a team player and facilitating team work;
  • Ability to work under pressure and time constraints.

Language Requirements:   

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in Nepali and English.

Other:

  • Must be familiar with MS office;
  • Nepali Typing skills is an asset.
