Nepal GoodWeave Foundation (NGF) is an active member of GoodWeave International having country affiliates in Nepal, India, USA, UK, Germany and Afghanistan. GoodWeave is a global nonâ€profit initiative working for appropriate preventive, rehabilitation & education programs and vocational training opportunities for disadvantaged children and families. NGF invites applications for the following positions:
PROJECT ASSISTANT: 1 (WEAVING ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY PROJECT) (Based in Kathmandu with frequent field visits out of valley)
Duration: 1 year with possibility of extension (depending on resources for and need of position)
Age: 25â€35 years
Job Responsibilities:
• Develop contracts of trainers, hall rent and other agreement of staffs that works in weaving training
• Prepare financial plans and periodic financial statement
• Ensure logistics management in close coordination of trainers
• Expense handling timely with the settlements of the advance
• Keep and manage staff account, prepares chart of accounts of trainers and trainees
• Keep records of all financial transactions, development of agreement in consultation with Project Coordinator.
• Maintain record of cost of different training packages, and carryâ€out financial & general administration of the office
• Manage inter / intra office communication and keep records
• Keep records & maintain proper storage system all store items
• Physical verifications of stock and inventory of raw materials, produced carpets and programs utilities
• Supervises and coordinate the trainers and day care teachers for logistic arrangement
• Facilitate procurement planning and maintenances of office equipment and tools
• Ensure supply of stationery & other necessities to the day care centers and training halls
• Manage correspondence, filings, mails and ensures security and safety of office
• Other task as and when necessary as directed by the Supervisor
Qualification and Experience:
• Minimum Intermediate Arts or similar field with at least 2 years relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of national and International labour Laws & standards.
• Good command in English and Nepali languages and good computer skills.
• Strong written English and report writing skills.
