Nepal Agricultural Market Development Programme (NAMDP) is a bilateral initiative between the Government of Switzerland and the Ministry of, Agriculture, Government of Nepal. The project is being implemented jointly by Swiss contact/ Swiss Foundation for Technical Cooperation and Center for Environmental and Agricultural Policy Research, Extension and Development (CEAPRED). We invite applications from committed and experienced Nepali citizens for the following positions:
A. Programme Officer - 2 (Surkhet,& Ramechap)
Reports to: Senior Market Developer
Purpose: Under the general guidance of the Senior Market Developer, the Programme Officer will be responsible for giving inputs to the NAMDP sector teams based in Kathmandu. Inputs include assistance in constraint analysis in selected sub-sectors, clusters and rural markets as well as in the design and implementation of interventions to address those constraints in the selected sub-sectors, clusters and rural markets.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in management or a related field with at least 3 years work experience in the development cooperation field with donor agencies, NGO/INGOs in agriculture value chain development/ market development. Experience of working in the programme districts (Ramechap, Okhaldunga, Khotang, Kalikot, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Acham and Surkhet).
