Responsibilities and tasks
The Programme Finance Officer will work under the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Finance Officer, with guidance from the Director of Administration and Finance, in order to give financial management support to the Centre’s programmes, initiatives, thematic areas, and other units. He/she will work in close coordination with other colleagues in the unit to carry out the following responsibilities:

Support the Senior Programme Finance Officer in consolidating the plans and budgets of the institution.

Support the programme teams in preparing their annual budgets as well as project-specific budgets and proposals as and when required.

Coordinate with the concerned programme focal persons to ensure that periodic financial reports from partners are received on time; ensure that all necessary supporting documents are received and verified for accuracy and adequacy.

Propose improvements to institutional finance processes in consultation with the Senior Programme Finance Officer.

Ensure that all implementing partners meet reporting deadlines; maintain necessary communication with partner organizations in coordination with the concerned Programme Officers.

Ensure that consolidated partnership data is updated on a continuous basis in the ERP system.

Conduct monitoring visits to partner organizations as and when required and support partner organizations in their financial reporting.

Coordinate with the ERP team to generate automated donor reports directly from the system.

Keep track of all donor reporting milestones/deadlines across the organization.

Support the Senior Programme Finance Officer in developing the programme module in the ERP system.

Perform all other responsibilities as delegated by the Senior Programme Finance Officer.
Job Specification
Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in business administration, business studies, business management, or related field, with a specialization in Finance

Minimum of 5 years of progressive and relevant work experience in a similar organization

Experience with donor finance reporting
-
Experience with the ERP environment (Microsoft Dynamics Navision) will be a clear advantage
-
Demonstrated ability to work in a team and outstanding communication skills to effectively communicate within and outside the organization to collect and consolidate relevant financial data

Duration
Three years, of which the first six months is probation.

Remuneration
Commensurate with experience and qualifications as per ICIMOD’s international salary scales.
