Practical Action is an INGO, aims to reduce poverty through wider use of appropriate technologies in developing countries. It works in more than 40 countries through its offices in Bangladesh, Bolivia, India, Kenya, Nepal, Peru, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Sudan and Zimbabwe.
Practical Action seeks to recruit a Programme Coordinator for its South Asia Regional Office, Kathmandu. S/he should have post graduate degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or other similar discipline with special knowledge and experience in water, sanitation and hygiene issues at the national level and international with minimum three years of work experience (candidates with experience on urban sanitation and Fecal Sludge Management is preferred).
Reporting to the Head of Programme - Urban WASH, the Programme Coordinator will be responsible to coordinate and support in managing and expanding the Urban Water, Sanitation and Waste programme and projects in the South Asia Region with considerable support for the program/projects in India.
