Under the overall supervision of the WFP Nepal Country Director, the DCD/Head of Programme and the direct supervision of the Programme Officer (M&E), the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:

Assist with the preparation of publications and reports, including gathering information written in Nepalese, analyzing Nepalese data and summarizing important information;

Complete high quality translation of short reports, press releases, longer publications, presentations, guidelines, training materials and letters from English to Nepalese for external or internal dissemination;

Translate Nepalese written reports, newspaper articles and other tests into English from Nepalese for internal purposes;

Manage translation process from beginning to end including facilitation of feedback and revision to ensure that the final product is of a high standard;

Provide support to the M&E team to design, conduct and disseminate case study reports on WFP’s programme impact (CP and Productive safety net)/and also on issues raised in the monitoring reports;

Play supportive role to report officer especially on drafting and compiling narrative sections of HQ/OMB and any other report;

Compile draft reports and correspond with RB as per the requirement in absences of reports officer;

Assist drafting M&E reports as and when required;

Perform any other duties as required.
