Job Summary
The Program Officer is responsible for project designing, planning, directing, organizing and controlling (monitoring and evaluation) program activities, documentation and reporting under the direction of Program Manager. S/he also shall be responsible for building relationships with strategic partners, sharing program impact and lessons, and policy analysis and development relating to mental health advocacy and campaign.
Specific responsibilities include:

Identify and develop project proposal for potential projects.

Coordinating and plan program with the senior managers

Managing and mobilization of staffs and smooth implementing of the program.

Develop and design promotional materials

Overseeing of implementation of program and reporting on time.

Develop and organize advocacy and campaigns
-
Develop and organize organization development activities for staff and clients
-
Provide teaching, coaching and mentoring to staff
-
Attend stakeholders meetings
-
Assist the Finance team in the drafting of project budgets and cash flows
-
Track the progress and ensure quality of work being performed for programs
-
Use program/project scheduling and control tools to monitor projects plans, budgets and expenditures

Network with like minded organizations, GOs, I/NGOs and other disabled people's organizations (DPOs)

Be part of the KOSHISH management team

Initiate and communicate ideas for improving organization's processes with a positive and constructive attitude, and

Take part in professional development activities
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
-
Masters in Humanities, Social Science, Rural Development or related subject

At least 5 years of practical working experience in project cycle management/result based management
Skills and Knowledge Specifications:
-
Capacity to conceptualize program interventions and developing project in Logical Framework Approach

Proven experience in conducting right based advocacy and lobbying activities

Experience in working with local government or NGOs on rehabilitation related activities in Nepal
-
Able to work as part of a team in a cooperative and supportive way, particularly with staff with different background and age group
-
Comfortable planning and delivering multiple activities under pressure to strict deadlines
-
Able to communication complex issues in a concise, accessible and engaging way
-
Demonstrable understanding of issues related to disabilities and mental health
-
Good knowledge and understanding of the working culture of GOs and I/NGOs in Nepal
Age: Above 30 years
Remuneration: NRS 55,000
