Program Officer - Resilient Livelihood: The person will be part of the Programme Team and will be responsible for contributing to programme strategy development and management along with implementation of these programmes. S/he will be responsible for Programme and Partnership Management on Resilient Livelihood, support DCA strategic development and delivery of an integrated livelihood recovery programme combining livelihoods, shelter and WATSAN to create a resilient sustainable community in accordance with DCA Global strategies. S/he will also be responsible for preparation of annual Programme Reports and other documentation required for programme, insurance of timely narrative and financial reports, audited statements from Partners. S/he will be responsible for overall monitoring of back-donor funded projects in coordination with project coordinators and funding team.
Required qualifications and competencies: Educational background : postgraduate degree in agriculture or related field. Minimum five years of working experience in development organization national / international NGO with similar responsibilities and field work on social and economic justice issues as well as experience in advocacy. Should have an experience in Nepal. Should have strong facilitation, management, analytical negotiation, coordination, and communications skills. Excellent writing and reporting skills are also a requirement. The candidate must be a strategic thinker, should have strong commitment to basic values and mission of DCA and the overall objectives of DCA South Asia programme. Should have the ability to cope with stress and work under difficult circumstances. S/he having excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in English and with Nepali language skills taken as an advantage too.
