Job Description
Digital Broadcast Initiative, Equal Access Nepal (EAN), a non-governmental organization (NGO) working in the area of Development Communications, invites application from highly motivated Nepali candidates for the position of Program Manager for its flagship radio program ‘Saathi Sanga Manka Kura’ (SSMK).
Description of key duties:

Manage EA Nepal’s youth project “SSMK- Saathi Sanga Manka Kura” or “Chatting with my Best Friends” with a view to ensure timeliness, quality and compliance against the project documents and contracts, including preparation and management of project implementation plans to ensure the completion of the project activities and disbursement of allocated fund/budget.

Keep track of the effectiveness of project activities through implementation of monitoring and evaluation strategies including timely review and analysis of quantitative and qualitative program’s inputs, outputs, feedback, outcomes and impact by collaborating with Monitoring and Evaluation section.

Provide technical leadership to the team and work closely with the SSMK production team leader, M&E team and IT team program team for good documentation of impact and achievements.

Maintaining and monitoring of reporting calendar and drafting/finalizing quarterly and annual progress report on project activities for submission to donors in a timely manner.

Liaison with the respective donor/s and independently negotiate work strategies/activities with implementing partners and donors.

Identify areas and opportunity to generate funding for EAN, particularly through SSMK.
Required qualifications and skills:

Good experience in project planning, implementation, documentation and reporting with a good ability to work according to budgets is essential.

Good understanding of youth and development issues of Nepal, including knowledge on Nepali media, in particular radio production process is required. Experience and/or understanding of live production is preferred.

Knowledge of monitoring methodologies and evaluation of development projects.

Good skills on financial and budgeting principles.

A bachelor’s degree with at least 4 or 5 years of experience in related discipline.

Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team with various backgrounds, ability, strengths and weaknesses.

Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and Nepali.
