PROGRAM MANAGER - COOPERATIVES - STRENGTHENING SMALLHOLDER ENTERPRISES IN LIVESTOCK VALUE CHAIN (SLVC)
FUNCTION
Ensure successful, efficient and effective functioning of all cooperatives in the program. Analyze the national and local cooperative systems and practices and facilitate the adaptation of best practices as a foundation for uniting smallholder farmers into cooperatives. Build the capacity of cooperative management in making sound investment decisions, establishing business relationships, accessing and delivering services and ensuring product quality and consistency.
REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s Degree in agricultural economics/ business development/ cooperative development or a related field, plus five (5) years' experience in relevant fields will be required. Other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these requirements.
