Niti Foundation is looking to hire consulting services from individuals or institution (‘consultant’) to prepare a manual on the role of local-level mediation in managing natural based-disputes relating to infrastructure development.
Job Specification
The scope of work includes, but not limited to, following activities:
Review of current laws, acts and regulation, provisions and practices of mediation in resolving natural resources based disputes
Consultation with Niti, IPPAN and TAF as well as their change facilitators and mediators on the grounds relating to current practices of dispute resolution.
Consultation with selected local government units and elected representative about good governance related to hydropower development
Review of various study report, IEC materials and policy brief prepared by Niti Foundation and consortium partners including mapping survey for identifying status, nature and key governance challenges in resource based disputes in hydropower development.
Review of action research to test strategies in prevention, mitigation and management of resource, based disputes in hydropower development
Work with Niti team to oversee the publication of the manual.
