Spinal Injury Sangh Nepal (SISN) a not-for-profit non-government organization is seeking a medical doctor specialized in physical medicine & rehabilitation (PM&R) to provide non-surgical clinical care for its project Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Center (SIRC) in Sanga, Kavre, Nepal.
Following qualification and experience is required for the post:
Completion of minimum 3-year internationally recognized PM&R specialty training and registered at Nepal Medical Council or needs to register at the home country (if applicable) for the international candidate.
One or more years' experience providing multidisciplinary rehabilitation services in an inpatient rehabilitation setting and One or more years' experience in an academic medical setting (clinical teaching experience)
Requested/Optional: clinical research experience, grant-writing experience.
This is a Full-time position. International applicants are also welcomed if they are willing to work voluntarily.

The Spinal Center, as it has come to be known (also ”Spinal Kendra”), is formally the Spinal Injury Rehabilitation Center (SIRC). The Center was inaugurated in April of 2002 by the late Sir Edmund Hillary, at Jorpati in Kathmandu city. It shifted to its current custom-built facility at Saanga village, Kavre District, in November 2008.
Over nearly a decade of work, the Spinal Center has developed a range of facilities to support the spinally injured of Nepal, who tend to come from the most marginalised bracket of society.
