Nepal CRS Company (CRS) is a not-for-profit organization engaged in social marketing of family planning, maternal and child health, and other health products in Nepal. Its mission is to improve the national health status by changing behavior and increasing access to health products and services.
Officer - Pharmacist

Role and Responsibility:
The position is responsible for quality assurance related aspects of all family planning and health products, packaging material, and re-packaged products procured directly by CRS or supplied by Donor agencies. Further, the position is also responsible for obtaining licenses from DDA and/or related agencies and ensuring appropriate documentation for all the products as per their specifications
Minimum Qualification: Bachelors’ in Pharmacy
Minimum Experience: 2 years of experience in Quality control management of pharmaceutical products.
Preferred/Additional Experience: Knowledge of Nepal’s regulatory requirement for new product registration, knowledge on obtaining manufacturing license and liaison with the Department of Drug Administration (DDA) for renewal of existing manufacturing license.

The Nepal Contraceptive Retail Sales (CRS) Project was established in July 1976. Its status was formally acknowledged by the Ministry of Finance in 1978. Financial support was provided by USAID through Westinghouse Electric Inc, USA.
The social marketing of Dhaal, Nepal’s first male contraceptive, was inaugurated by
Princess Prekshya in May 1978. These condoms were sold through 55 outlets in Kathmandu and generated significant sales from the outset. The project introduced Nepal’s first condom vending machine in Kathmandu in 1980.
