Himal Southasian is seeking a motivated Outreach and Marketing Manager who possesses an understanding of the global media market and is eager to taken on the challenge of working with a pioneering magazine. Himal Southasian is in a phase of growth and looking to expand its global readership. The applicant must be innovative and keen to develop inventive marketing strategies.

Himal Southasian is a web and print review magazine of politics and culture. We strive to define, nurture and amplify the voice of Southasia and instil a sense of Southasianness.

Job Description

• Formulate and implement strategies for outreach, strengthen the visibility and increase the readership of Himal Southasian in the regional and global market
• Expand the subscriber and membership base within and outside Southasia
• Plan and execute events within and outside Southasia in coordination with the editorial team

Job requirements and skills

• A bachelor’s degree
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a must
• Entrepreneurial instinct and ability to work independently
• Experience in advertising and media is a plus

Salary and benefits

This is a full-time position based in Kathmandu. Salary commensurate with experience. Himal Southasian provides health insurance. This position is open from August 2015.
