Community Members Interested operates as both a tax-exempt non-profit in the US under section 501(c)(3) of the US IRS code, and as an approved NGO in Nepal registered with the Social Welfare Council.
COMMITTED relies on a holistic approach to development that is centered on both education and local governance. Our Sikchya Mero Adhikar (Education-My Right) campaign seeks to provide poverty-stricken children access to free, sustainable, mandatory, and quality education; our local governance projects further bolster communities by ensuring accountability and sustainable economic models.
We reach these aims through three different projects: School Improvement Program (SIP), Social Business for Education (SBE), and Local Governance and Service Delivery.
