CARE Nepal is an international humanitarian organization working in the country for the past 37 years. It currently works in 36 districts through various programs on issues relating to improving the lives of the poorest and most vulnerable populations through programs that work on the following themes: food security and climate change; emergency preparedness and DRR; migration and urbanization; sexual reproductive and maternal health; gender based violence; women and girls’ leadership. CARE Nepal hereby invites applications from interested candidates for the following Short Term position for an initial period of 2 months in response to the current emergency situation we are faced in Nepal due to the Mega Earthquake. As a humanitarian organization CARE is providing immediate support in the affected areas and requires dynamic and committed individuals to help the organisation provide response and rehabilitation
1. Nursing Officers (3 Nos based in Dhading and 1 No based in Gorkha)
Key responsibilities:
The Nursing Officer is mainly responsible for supporting the health sector to implement the SRMH activities and involve in onsite coaching and mentoring of the staffs of birthing centre under the Emergency Response. S/he is responsible to create/adapt and introduce standardized strategies for reproductive health which are fully integrated within Primary Health Care (such as SBA policy, Guideline of Aama programme, referral of obstetric emergencies, counselling and family planning services, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelors in Nursing with Skill Birth Attendance training and at least 3 years of minimum experience of which 2 years of experience in Sexual Reproductive and Maternal Health sector or Public Health Nursing with INGO or NGO. The incumbent should be registered in the Nepal Nursing Council with a valid registration
