Trade Finance Department (Officer to Manager Level) -Few
Trade Finance is a critical area of banking operation where job scope includes processing of transactions such as imports, exports, guarantees, letter of credit and reporting/reconciliation related to its transaction. The above positions demand drives to have strong internal control mechanism in order to reduce operational risk and good knowledge of foreign exchange, regulations, NRB regulations, ICC regulations. The incumbents are expected to have strong marketing drive for sustainable growth of trade finance business.
Required Qualification and Experience
Master degree from recognized university.Minimum 3 years of experience in Commercial Bank with exposure in related filed.
Should have strong marketing drive to brand Bank’s Product and Services.
Candidates applying for Officer Level should be currently working at least in Supervisor position and for manager level at least in Senior Officer Position.
Should be a team player and have excellent communication skills.
Major Job and Responsibilities:
Prepare all types of SWIFT messages related to International Banking Department and hand over it to the SWIFT Department or deliver them through Bank’s mail for transmission
Receive import document and to check it properly to ensure that these are strictly complied with Letter of Credit terms and conditions.
Handle import bills as per the prevailing UCPDC.
Check terms and condition of the export LC and if some condition are not acceptable for the bank or not as per the compliance terms, arrange to get the amendment through the customer.
Check discrepancy, if any, in export document presented for negotiation
Purchase the document and pass related entries after getting necessary instruction or send the document in collection basis.
Receive the documents for import against DAP/DAA
Handle import bills as per the provisions under Uniform Rules for Collection(URC).
Receive application of Bank Guarantee from the branch.
Comply with applicable versions of URDG, UCPDC, URR, URC, and ISBP
Conduct proper and timely correspondence with regard to all aspects of the Departmental jobs.
Monitor import and export related loan
Ensure monthly reconciliation of various subsidiary ledgers with Trial Balance.
Ensure cost control to the possible extent.
Conduct up to date reconciliation of Nostro, IBT, and IDT, exhibit of LC, margin, guarantee and unamortized commission.
Ensure Compliance with “Know Your Customer” and “Anti Money Laundering” Guidelines/Policies/Manuals of the Bank.
Acquaint with the rules and regulations of the Bank, NRB circulars/ directives and monitor adherence to them.
Ensure that proper filing and documentation has been maintained in the Department.
Report to NRB as per their requirement and circular.
