Job Description

Required Key Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

  • M.Sc.- Construction Mgmt/Structural or BE Civil with MBA from a reputed university.
  • Minimum 20 years of comprehensive experience in overall management of real estate companies. Must have completed at least two big projects as a Project Leader.
  • Ability in project management and in developing project plans, coordinate projects, communicate changes and progress, complete projects in time and budget, manage project team activities.
  • Experience in estimating projects, negotiating fees, building and managing budgets & schedules.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
  • Strategic Management skills (Planning, Financial, Analysis, Business development) are required.
  • Must be Dedicated and Committed towards achieving Annual Target given by the management
  • Good public relations with real estate business market
  • Mental agility with ability to focus on key issues quickly and incisively.
  • Strong judgment and strategic thinking.
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
  • Proven working experience in construction management.
  • Familiarity with construction management software packages.
  • Excellent time and project management skills.
  • Strong team-building and managerial skills.
  • Competent in conflict and crisis management.
  • Leadership and human resources management skills.
  • Good command of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word etc.).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
  • Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate and direct construction workers and contractors.
  • Devise mechanisms for cost control of the sites.
  • Keeping strict vigil over construction progress for timely completion of construction.
  • Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance.
  • Review the work progress on daily basis.
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
  • Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licenses.
  • Analyze, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
  • Preparing annual forecasts, budget, Strategy and Policy Guidelines.
  • Guide Project Managers/ Site In-charges to complete project in time.
  • Other duties assigned by Chairman / Executive Director as & when required.
