Job Description

Planning, Design and Implementation

• Research and recommendation of new solutions in areas of IT Services as directed by the supervising officer.
• Plan & test design specifications and recommend solutions on issues as directed by the supervising officer.
• Implement systems and services as directed by the supervising officer.

Configuration and Implementation

Configure, implement and maintain new and existing networking equipments and services in use within the Group. These include the following:

• Application and Database Servers
• Email and Internet Servers
• File Sharing and Collaborative Servers
• Proxy and Firewalls
• SIP Soft switch
• Network, LAN and IT Resource Management Services

Monitoring, Maintenance & Administration

• Monitor the  network and data centre for server downtime, circuit outages, network congestions or device downtimes, using network tools, services and procedures and taking appropriate troubleshooting and escalation action as required.
• Record and track system problems, status and updates, resolutions, solutions and provide reports to the supervising officer as required.
• Perform system administration related to account creations, deletions, distributions lists and access on Company's systems.
• Perform and document periodic maintenance procedures.

Job Specification

Qualification: At least Bachelors level completed in related field

Experience: 3-6 years of experience working on different types of systems such as the following.

A. Operating Systems Environment

1. Windows Server 2003 and later

2. Linux: CentOS, Redhat and Ubuntu

3. Hypervisor: Citrix and VMWare

B. Groupware, Database and Application Server systems

1. Apache HTTP Server (Install, harden, optimise and maintain)

2. Microsoft IIS Server (Install, harden, optimise and maintain)

3. mySQL or Percona or Maria DBMS (Install, harden, optimise and maintain)

4. MS SQL Server (Install, optimise & maintain)

5. Zimbra Collaboration Server (Install, configure, optimise & maintain)

6. MS Active Directory Services (Install, configure & maintain)

7. Network Information Management Servers such as Zabbix, Nagios (Install, configure, optimise & maintain)

8. Asterisk (Elastix) (Install, configure & maintain)
