Position: National Programme Manager — Protection (One) based in National Office, Lalitpur
Job Responsibilities:
Design WVIN's Technical Approach (TA) and Technical Programmes (TP) for Protection (sector strategy and work plan), including Technical Programmebudgets; Oversee and provide technical support to meet technical standards and targets for the successful implementation of WVIN's Technical Programme forProtection; Lead on the protection technical components of new project designs for new resource acquisition; Manage and grow WVIN's relationships with national protection related government bodies, networks and partners, exercising influence to improve policies/service and help achieve WVIN's advocacy targetoutcomes.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:
Master's degree in Sociology/Social Work/Development Studies/Rural Development/Gender Studies or related field from recognised university with at least 3 years' of leadership experience (matrix management experience is highly preferred) and 5 years' experience in protection related programmes with INGOs/NGOs is required; Should have good knowledge on the latest development thinking on protection programming, including life skills, system strengthening, advocacy and inter-faith programming approaches; Should have excellent team building, collaboration, facilitation and leadership skills; Must have good understanding of protection programming, including empowerment approaches involving community-led activities and advocacy; Experience in developing winning grant technical project proposals is required; Demonstrated skills in data analysis, research work and community based programming; Experience in developing and delivering programming strategy development, including evidence of achieving programming targets, experience of engaging international donors and Government staff on advocacy is essential; Experience of partnering with private business, faith- based organisation or academic institutions to achieve greater impact on the lives of children.
