Job Description
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education Essential:
University Degree in Medicine or a health related science from a recognized University, and:
Master's in Public Health, MD medicine, Community Medicine and/or areas related to health sciences.
Desirable: Training in NCD related topics
Experience
Essential:
At least five years progressive experience in development and implementation of public health programs, program evaluation and research, including two years of experience in non-communicable diseases or chronic care programs or health promotion or social determinants of health related program management and translating evidence into National policies and programs.
Desirable:
Working experience with UN or WHO.
Experience of working with partners, especially with Government Departments.
Experience in covering issues of public health, particularly in the area of integrated service delivery and community intervention.
Knowledge and understanding of health systems, in particular in a Nepal context.
Exposure to NCD programs in an international context through direct work involvement in such programs outside Nepal.
Understanding of the global architecture of NCD control.
Understanding of modern communication approaches- Peer reviewed publications
