Scope of Work:
Under the supervision of the Education Specialist (NoC) and overall guidance of the Section Chief, the consultant will conduct the following activities:
1. Device Configuration and Deployment
2. Training and Capacity Building
3. Accessibility of Content
Ensure the digital content developed is up to standard and in compliance with international accessibility guidelines, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
4. Monitoring and Reporting
5. Collaboration and Coordination

Education:
Advanced university degree in Education or social sciences or discipline relevant to equity and inclusion.
Work experience:
At least 5 years of professional experience in digital content design, educational technology, and project management.
Proven expertise in Java, Python programming, content design, Artificial Intelligence and managing technical systems like MDM.
Experience with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and text-to-speech software, and a strong knowledge of accessibility standards in educational content.
Experience working with accessibility guidelines (e.g., WCAG) and assistive technologies.
Proven expertise in designing accessible digital content, including EPUB3 and HTML formatting for educational materials.
Demonstrated success in designing inclusive digital tools for learners, especially those with disabilities.
Familiarity with Nepal's education system and previous work with government or educational institutions preferred.
Skills:
Familiarity with various forms of disability, as well as universal design principles and practices that support accessibility in digital learning environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali.
Ability to collaborate across teams and organizations, including with international and regional offices.
